OBITUARY

PROMINENT CITIZENS. WELLINGTON, This Day. The death occurred yesterday of two well-known Wellington citizens. Lieut. Asher Asher, of the Wellington Eire Police, died at fins residence in Marion Street at the age of 72 years. Born in Birmingham, he had resided in Wellington tor GO years. Ho loaves a widow, three sons and one daughter. Mr Die-hard Tingey, horn in London in ISirl, came to New Zealand in ISGS. He was a Maori War veteran, and with his brother, Mr Edward Tingey, was founder df the Dominion-wide firm of Tingey and 00., painters and decorators. —Press Assn.
