WHANGAREI—KAWAKAWA ROAD

METALLING WORK, Replying to enquiries made by Mr Allen Bell, M.P., with regard to the metalling of the above road, the Minister of Public Works regrets that there will be no funds available for metalling the road at Towai this year, as all the available funds have been allocated for works of a more urgent nature. The Minister understands that it is the intention of the No. 1 District Highway Council at Whangarei to urge the provision of funds to complete the metalling to KawakaWa next year.
