TAUPO TROUT
GOOD SEASON FORECASTED. TAUPO, This Day. Prospects for the fishing season, which opened yesterday, appear to be very good. Quite a fair crowd of sportsmen gathered in the town for the opening day, and provided the fish are good and plentiful, this season should be a record one. The launches are all looking spick and span in their new paint, and all launch-owners are looking ■ forward to a good season. For the convenience of anglers, licenses can now be procured on the launches, so that there should be no excuse for fishing parties caught fishing without licenses, and as there are two Departmental rangers and eight native rangers under the Tuwharetoa Trust Board, a very sharp vigil will be kept for persons breaking the fishing regulations.—Press Assn.
