SMALL OUTBREAK. .4) BIG DAMAGE. 'CAMBRIDGE, This Day, At 6 o’clock last night, an outbreak of lire occurred in unoccupied business premises owned by Souter and Co, in Duke Street, resulting in the destruction of a small adjoining storeroom, one wall of the premises being badly burned. Despite the. westerly wind, the brigade prevented the flames from spreading. Five hampers’ of samples, packed ready for removal, including soft goods and fur coats to an estimated value of £IOOO, were totally destroyed. They were the property of Sargood, Son and Ewen. The premises, which were among the oldest buildings in Cambridge, were insured for £IOO. It is not known whether the samples were covered by insurance.—Press Assn.
