The Air Ministry announces that four flying boats will start for tralia from Plymouth on October IL. Group Captain H. M. Oave-Browno- v Cave commands the expedition. Squftdron Leader G. E. Livock is second In command, and the other officers Flight Lieuts. P. E, Maitland, S. ’ : SV: • Freeman, L. V. Carnegie, C. G, Wig;-' glosworth and H. G. 'Sawyer, and Fly- y ing Officers B. Cheeseman, S. D. Scotty and G. E. Nicholetts. Each boat carries a crew of four. The route wilLba,; France, Berne, Naples, Brindisi, Greffey'" Aboukir, coastwise to AJexandretta, ;‘j overland to Baghdad and -Karachi, coas tally circuiting India for the first time, including Bombay, and thereafter;., Ceylon, Madras, Calcutta, Rangoon* Penang and Singapore. The machines will first touch Australia at Broome, thence to Carnarvon, Fremantle,. ’ Albany, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, - Brisbane and elsewhere, returning via Singapore. . ,' An official says that the boats will ' not attempt quick passages.
