DROUGHT BREAKING
RAIN IN N. S. WALES. (Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. General rains fell throughout the State yesterday, extending even to far western areas. Further heavy falls are anticipated, and the end of the drought is apparently in sight.—A, and N.Z. VICTORIA STILL PARCHED. (Received 10.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Although good rains are reported from many parts of New South Wales, the Victorian wheat belt has not benefited to atny great extent. —A. and N.Z.
