j A meeting of the Kamo Town Board : AA’as held on May 13. Present:—Crs. Me- ! Tunes (chairman) Gardner, Swann and 1 Wilkinson. Inward correspondence Avas dealt with and sundry resolutions passed. ; The chairman, Cr Mcluno.s, was ap- j pointed a delegate to the North Auck- 1 land Progress League. j In respect to the private telephone | line on the north side of Three Mile! ; Bush Road, it was decided that 14 days’ notice bo given to the OAvncrs to remove the poles and wire Avithin the boundaries of the toAvn district. As regards the regional town planning scheme, Cr P. R. Gardner Avas elected as representative of the board j to confer Avith the Whangarei Borough | Council. The action of the sub-committee apj pointed to deal with the metal haulage ,■ tender Avas confirmed and the tenders ; placed on record. ’ The Hospital and Charitable Aid j Board loa-v Avas discussed and payment I a of the first quarter by instalment (£35 ■ Ids Id) authorised, j A complaint Avas made in respect to . a drain carrying off storm Avater I through certain ratepayers’ property, being in bad condition, and on the suggestion of Cr SAvann, the principle jof tAVO supervisors each month was 1 adopted. Crs, SAvann ami Gardner j were appointed for the ensuing period ;in this capacity. I The question of revision of the cxist- | ing Toavii District by-laAvs Avas gone Mnto, and it Avas resolved that a special | meeting to deal with the matter be called for May 27, 1927. j Authority was given to negotiate j Avith the Bank of Noav Zealand for | temporary accommodation for the next jfour or five months in view of main' 'road expenditure being incurred prior to rates collected.
