FRESH OUTBREAK
VICTORIAN BUSH,FIRES. SERIOUS DAMAGE REPORTED. (Received 1.36 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. A strong wind caused many bush fires in the State to break out afresh, nullifying the strenuous labours of! hundreds of workers in the affected areas. The most serious renewal is at Healesville, where damage was done to the water conservation reserve. A new fire occurred in the "Whitfield district, and assumed serious proportions, burning along a fifteen mile front. It is not yet under control. It is reported that the township of j Yallourn, where the large generating works of the State Electricity Commission are located, is in danger from the flames, which are converging on it from several directions. —A. and N.Z.
