TRAVERSE KING'S SPEECH ELECTION EMPLOYMENT SCHEME DEEMED INADEQUATE, (Received 10.7 a.m.) LONDON, February 4. During the debate on the King’s Speech in the House of Commons, Mr. JT. Wheatly said that Labour approved the call to subsidise the electricity scheme, but he was of opinion that the latter would not solve the unemployment problem. ■Criticism was renewed in other quarters of the terms of the AngldItalian debt settlement, but the Liberals have now decided not to include this in the amendment which they intend to move, which will deal with the question of the alleged unsatisfactory education policy of the Government.— Reuter.
