TRUCK ABLAZE

SCHOOLCHILDREN \S ESCAPE

PUKEKOHE, This Day.

A Republic motor truck owned by W. A. McDivitt, of Pukekohe, and used for carting cream to the Paerata factory, was destroyed by lire early yesterday morning. McDivitt and his son were collecting cream and the lorry was partially loaded, when near the Ma.uku stream, 011 the Mauku-Wauiku Eoad, the lorry burst into flames. Four children who were riding on the lorry to school, also the full and empty cream cans, were rescued without injury or damage. The truck was insured but the figures are unavailable. —Press Assn.
