WORKING CONDITIONS.
| ULTIMATUM REPUDIATED MINERS DECIDE TO STRIKE (Received 1 p.m.) CAPETOWN, Jan. 2. A conference of executives of the Mine Workers and Engineers' Associations at Johannesburg confirmed the coal miners' decision to strike oil Monday, also to take an immediate strike ballot on the Chamber of Mines and Power Company's ultimatum regarding changes in the working conditions affecting the colour bar and other mutters. The coal strike at the Witbank p\ts is in full operation. All work excopr, essential services has ceased. The conditions are peaceful.—Reuter.
