Mr A.-J. Edmunds has sufficiently recovered from Ms recent seriou3 illness ~to resume the practice of his profession.
Judge Holland and Mr C. P. New- j -ton left for Kaikohe this morning, "lhaving completed the Native Land '•Court business in Whangarei. i Constable Quinn, who was stationed in the Waikiekie district, has been "transferred to Onehunga, and leaves this evening. Constable •O'Gorman has succeeded Constable "Quinn at Waikiekie. The Rev. J. A. Lochore, a prominent Methodist minister, at Ep•som, Auckland, is on a fortnight's x visit to the North, and is the guest of Iris brother, the Rev. G. W. Lochore, at ■the Presbyterian Manse, Whangarei. To-morrow night the Rev. J. A. Loc"tore will be the preacher at the Wha--ngarei Presbyterian Church.
