THE TIMARU PROSECUTIONS

MAGISTRATE FINES AIRMEN.

TIMARU, This Day.

In the Magistrate's Court Mr Moslem, S.M., gave his reserved decision in the aviation case, in which W. Buckloy and P. K. Flower, in the employ of the Npw Zealand Aero Company, were charged with trick flying over Timaru, also with flying at so low an altitude that danger .to the public was caused. The Magistrate found that low flying constituted a very real danger to the ,public and was a menace to the publie safety. He held the defendants guilty, and each was fined 20s, the penalty being small as this was the first case of the kind in New Zealand. The charge of trick flying was dismissed.—Press Assn.
