MR HUGHES VINDICATED
ON TEST VOTE

The Prime Minister (Mr W- M'Hughes), in announcing in the House of Representatives the details of the subjects to be dealt with at the Imperial -Conference, said he had suggested that the matter of communication between various parts of the Empire should be added to the agenda.
iMr Hughes' motion that paper s re. lating to the Imperial Conference be printed,.moved to test the feeling of the House as to. whether it was pre. pared to restore control of the business to* the Government and desired representation at the Imperial Conference,. was carried by 42 to 21.. Mr Ryan's amendment was de. feated by 23 to 41.—A. and N.Z.
