JEWELLERS SEEK PROTECTION,

The number of robberies, burglaries, hold-ups and murders 'in New York has increased- to such an alarming extent that the silversmiths have protested to the Mayor, declaring that '"• the polico protection is inadequate and demanding immediate full protection, ,
The organisation also plans to protest .to the Governor of the State and will create body vigilants to protect the jewellers interested. ~
It is estimated that there! have been more than 100 unsolved murders during
