At the Addington .market store sheep mot with a good inquiry. Two-tooth ewes, in lamb, rmade ;>2/.'i to 39/9; good six and eight-tooth ewes, in lamb, 30/3 to 42/3; inferior sound-mouthed ewes, 25/G to 27/S; aged ewes, in lamb, to 2t>/; good two and four-tooth wethers, 32/ i) to 3(3/; four and six-tooth wethers to 37/; good half-bred ewe hoggets, .''.2/10 to 33/(5; ordinary ewe hoggets, 27/0 to 29/1; good half-bred wether hoggets, 27/C'to 2S'/7; cull wether hoggets, 23/10.
Values for fat sheep went down a shade except for extra prime and graziers' sonts. Extra prime wethers made 00/ to 59/9; prime wctners, 40/ to 47/; medium wethers, 31/4 to 35/8; prime owes, 36/G to 45/; medium ew*es, 27/2 to 35/1; hoggets, 29/10 to 3G/3.
Prices for fat cattle were easier, a number of lines being passed. Extra prime steers made to £34 10/; prime steers £20 to £30; medium steers, £16 15/ to £25; light and unfinished steers, £10 to £16; prime heifers, £16 10/ to £19 2/6; ordinary heifers, £11 to £15 17/6; ordinary cows, £11 15/ to £16; light and inferior cows, £10 to £11 10/.
Store cattle were inferior in quality. Two-and-a-half-year heifers made to £7 ]8/(3; S-i-year steers to £9: empty cows, £3 to £5.'
In vealers runners brought £9 10/ and good vealers £7 10/. The dairy cattle yarding was of good quality. Good second and third ealvers made £19 15/ to £25 15/; ordinary second and third calvers. £16 to £19; two-year-old sprirfging heifers, to £8.
There was a small entry of fat pigs, and values were something of a record, some pork selling as high as 1/6 lb on the hook. Choppers made £8 to £10 14/; baconors, £6 10/ to £7* 15/; heavy baecmcrs, to £0; extra-baconers, £10 7/; average price per lb 1/lJ to 1/2: porkers, £4 10/ to £5 5/; heavy .porkers, £"> 10 to £fi 7/; average price per lb ]/3i to 1/4. For store pig's there was an extra keen demand. Best, stores made £4 15/ to £5; medium, £3 15/ to £4 8/1; weaners, 2i)/ for very small, to 57/ for extra good. .••■■■ HIDES, SKINS AND TALLOTV. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd., or the Haymarket, report having held their weekly sale of hides, skins, and (allow, on Tuesday. The market was firmer, and better prices were obtained for best grades of hides nnd calfskins.
Hides: Ox,.light 10M to lid, medium 13M to 14d, heavy 15d to 15Jd, cow light IOJd to lHd, heavy 12d to 12-Jd, 2nd grade cow 9d" to 9|; freezer washed, cow, light 12Jd to 13d, heavy 13M to 14Jd; ox, light 15M, medium 16£ d, heavy 17-} d, cut hides 8d to 12d; kips, 12|d to 13|d; yearlings, 13d to 13£ cl; kips and yearlings, second-grade, Bsd to lOJd; calfskins, heavy-13d to 143, medium 15|d to 16d, light 16d to 17<J, ancaty 13d, cut IOJd, slippy 5Jd to 6d, damaged no offer; horsehides, souna, 10/6 to 20/ each. Tallow, 33/ to 38/ per cwt. for ordinary mixed, in small casks; burnt and dreggy, 28/ to 30/ per cwt. Bones, £9 per toai. Horsehair, 1/6 to 2/2. per lb.
