MR JOHN NEALE.
The death took place at the Auckland Hospital yesterday of Mr John Neale, who was in his 70th year. Mr Neale came from the Old Country and first resided at Papakuta. Subsequently he settled at Mania, where he had resided for over 30 years until 3 years ago .when he disposed of his farm there and went to live. in Auckland. The 'deceased gentleman .married Miss Lowe, of the pioneer family of Lowe's Valley, Marua. He had been ill for only ten days, and went into hospital on ft I the 2nd inst. Mr Neale was chief clerk at the Whakapara sawmill during the period of Mr Stokes' ownership. The members of the surviving family are his wife, five sons and five daughters. The sons are Messrs John and James Neale (Whangarei Heads), Thomas Neale (Marua), George Neale (Bay of Plenty), and Bernard Neale (Hauraki Plains) and the daughters Mesdames M. Stephens (Devonport), A. Leatherby, J. W.oods and Gf. Collinson (Whangarei) arid Miss Edie Neale.
