With tho return of Mr Bryant, late director-of Soldiers' Settlements, who was recalled from London, a Royal Commission has commenced an inquiry into the administration under Mr Bryant. * The evidence so far taken indicates alleged maladministration of funds under a certain bonus system and in other directions.
