(Received .10.30 a.m.)
WASHINGTON, Aug. 25.
The British Embassy terms as sheer nonsense the charge made by Representative Britton, of Illinois, that 87,500 dollars furnished by the British Ambassador, Sir Auckland Geddes, from the British Government, found its way into the Democratic campaign chest.
Sir A. Geddes will later make an official statement in denial. —A. and N.Z.
