EXTRA COAL PRICE.

With the sanction "of the Board of Trade there has been an increase of Is per ton at the pit nu>utj_ in the price of coal produced in* Northern mines. The increase takes effect as from September 1, and applies to all grades, including household coal, it is unlikely thait the cost to the domestic consumer will be increased. The least possible increase would be one penny per cwt. and the dealers may decide not to pass on the increase.
There has been an increase in the cost ot Westport coal, but it does not apply to household coal. —Press Assn. *
