RIFLE SHOOTING

CAMPBELL EHRENFRIED CUP.

WON BY WHANGAREI A TEAM.

Excellent sport eventuated at the latest district shoot for the Campbell Ehrenfried Cup, the Whangarei A team coming out on top, with Ruakaka A only six points behind in second place, the aggregate gold medal being won by G. Patterson. A shoot-off was necessary to decide the medal winner, four equal scorers taking part, in the persons of W. Weir, C. Schon, E. Draffin, and G. Patterson, each having 49 points. At the first attempt Weir und Draffin dropped out, Schon and Patterson again tying, and the latter winning the final "go" between these two. A sweepstake shoot, at the SOO-yard range was won by C. H.
