LIBERTY CATHOLIC CHURCH.
A priest attached to a denomination known as the Liberty Catholic Church, which was started in New Zealand about two years ago, arrived in Auckland by the Makura from Sydney, where he had been on a brief visit. The visitor, the Rev. W. Crawford, expained that the Liberty Catholic Church is an off-shoot from the Roman Catholic Church. There are only three priests in New Zealand, the movement which had its birth about 200 years ago in Holland, having a great many supporters in England.
