INDUSTRIAL SCHEME.
FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS.
NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day.
Colonel Mitchell, D.5.0., addressing the local Returned Soldiers' Asociation, outlined a> proposal that 25,000 returned soldiers should invest £10 each out of their gratuity to form a company to establish woollen mills, a tannery, and a boot factory for manufacturing standard lines of woollen goods, boots and shoes, thus providing employment for returned soldiers and cheapening production.—P.A.
