RAILWAY PROGRESS.
WAIOTIRA-TAURAROA SECTION,
(Waikiekie Correspondent.)
The last heavy rain was account able for only one small slip on the Waiotira Tauraroa railway section, but the filling at theT7-mile peg has settled down considerably, leaving the rails unsupported.
A start has been made with the third cottage at the junction, where it is evident that the Public Works Department is "making great prepara tion for the future. This is a wel come change from the old temporis ing policy, and obviously the authorities believe that the junction must become a large and important place, and that provision must be made accordingly.
