WESTFIELD STOCK SALES

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, l-eport having held their weekly sale of fat stock at Westfield yesterday. Beef: A moderate yarding, and prices were slightly higher than last week's rates. Extra choice pens of prime ox sold at up to £3 7/ per lOOlbs; ordinary prime ox, average of £3 4/; cow and heifer beef, £2 17/6 to £3 5/. Veal: A good yarding, and prices slightly in advance of last week's. Good heavy runners made up to £12; good suckers, £3 to £4; young calves, 10/ to £1. Mutton: A fair yarding. Prime wethers, £2 10/ to £2 15-; medium ditto £2 to £2 7/; forward ditto, 35/; extra prime ewes, to £2 10/; medium, 38/ to £2 5/. Pork: A small yarding, and prices were on a par with late rates. Baconers sold at equal to 10d per lb; porkers made up to lid per lb.
