TOWAI.
Mr W. Tebbutt has bought Mr Blagrove's farm. jir E. Rouse has sold his interest in the Towai Hotel to Mr Dave Forsyth. It is reported that Mr Forsyth is buying the hotel property. Ther e have been some stock losses in this district, but these have been very light compared with some districts. Mrs Starr has had the greatest losses. Mr A. Balero has been very unfortunate, too, he having had a number of cattle bogged, some of whkh died after being released. There is no such thing as a bad road here. We have better roads at the present moment than we have ever had in our history. The outlook for next season is not too promising, and unless we are favoured by plenty of rain shortly, the position will be serious, as there is very little water in the soil to draw upon.
