WOMEN'S WORLD.

•The Whangarei Tennis Club held a most successful dance in the Parochial Hall on Thursday evening laat. Among those present were:—Mrs Batty, pale green silk with black jetted overdress; Mrs Cooper, black silk and net; Mrs Harington, black, with red satin blouse; Mrs Dawson, black ajid gold; Mrs Peat, biscuit crepe de chine; Mrs Woolley, black crepe de chine; Mrs Bisset, grey crepe de chine and gorgette; Mrs Storey, vi ux rose crepe de chine and black velvet trimming; Mrs Deighton, black Silk; Madame Brainsby, black silk; Mrs Bevin, rose silk overdress of saxe blue; Mrs 'Clayton-Thome, black velvet and net; Miss Howard, saxe blue silk; Miss Bedlington, black velvet; Miss., Tanner (Auckland), black and emerald green; Miss Crane, black crepe de chine; Miss N. Crane, pink net over white silk; Miss Good, black; Miss I. Neary, black taffeta silk; Miss O. Neary, yellow; Miss Wilkinson, heliotrope; Miss McGregor, apricot crepe de chine; Miss Mackie, black chawneuse and net; Miss Burton ,palo pink voile; Miss Gibbons, white silk. Also-present were: Misses Cleary (3), Macken, Hockin, Watson (3), Pickmere, Peat, and Mackenzie; Messrs (Simons (2), McMillan, Levett, Carter, Stone, Dale, Henderson, Todd, Simmons, Steadman, Quinn, Fendall, igtewart, Finlayson (3), Maxwell, Mackie, and Macken. The floor, supper, and music were all excellent and a very enjoyable dance was the result.
