TANGIHUA.
PRESENTATION 1 TO MR AND MRS
HUGH CRAWFORD.
On Friday, 22<nd August, the residents of Tangihua and surrounding districts assembled at the Tangihua (No. a) Hall to bid farewell to Mr and 'Mrs Hugh Crawford, who, owing to the fox*mer's ill-health, are Waving the district to reside in Whangarei. During the evening speeches were made by Mr. T. jQ'Carroll and Mr Roland Hill. The latter on behalf of the residents presented Mrs Crawford with a very pretty silver cream jug and sugar basin on silver tray; and to Mr Crawford a handsome sil-' ver cigarette Case, accompanied by all good wishes for their future welfare and prosperity. After the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" dancing was kept up till the small hours of the morning, the music being supplied by the Misses iamb, Edge, Crawford and Gunson. Supper was supplied by the ladies and a very enjoyable evening was spent.
