WEDDING BELLS.

LAW—NEARY.

A very pretty wedding- took place in Whangarei on August 12th, at Christ Church, the Rev. G. C. Cruicksha'nk officiating, when Gerald Sherwood, only son of Mr and Mrs F. Law, of Whangarei, was married to Myrtl e Evelyn, second daughter of Mrs Griffin, Whangarei. The bride, who was given away by Mr T. Griffin, looked charming in a lovely frock of white crepe de chine, with court train lined with shell pink. She wore a handsome veil of Brussels net, arranged with orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of pink and white. The bridlsmaid, Miss Neary, was attired in a becoming frock of grey and navy charmeuse, with a pretty rose pink hat, and carried a bouquet of pink roses and tulle streamers. The bride's mother wore navy chiffon taffetas, with touches of. gold, and carried a bouquet of daffodills. Miss 0. Neary wore a cream gabardine costume with hat of black and orange panne velvet. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr W. Cowdell, and Mr A. Dobson played the /'Wedding March." The guests were j entertained at the Kensington Teai rooms, wher e the usual toasts were |given f after which the happy couple left by train and boat for Auckland. The bride's travelling costume was sand coloured with touches of hydrangea with hat to match. They the recipients of many handsome and useful presents.
