EXPENSIVE TRAWLING.
FORFEITURE OF SHIP ORDERED, AUCKLAND, This Day. A charge of illicit trawling in the Hauraki Gulf last month was admitted by John Gallagher, master of the trawler Phantom, before Mr Watson, fi.M., who ordered the forfeiture of the ship and gear and in addition a penalty of £8 and costs. —P.A.
