The Press Bureau ..reports that the Anglo-French Governments jointly declare that iheir war aim in the East is to completely free the peoples oppressed by the Turks and to assist the establishment of indigenous Go<>ernments and administration by the people themselves in Syria, Mesopotamia, and the. territories they are seekng to liberate, ' also to assure justice, encourage economic development and education, and end the divisions exploited by the Turks.—A. and N.
