The Gazette contains thousands of honours, mostly military, on the occasion of the King's birthday.
Lord Rhondda is created a Vis-
count,
Three Barons include Mr George Faber, M.P.
Seven Privy Councillors include the Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party (Mr W. Adamson), the Parliamentary Secretary, and the Food Controller (Mr J. R. Clynes).
Fourteen Baronetcies include Mr J. G. Butcher and Mr ,R. L. Harmsworth, M.'sP. ,and the Coal Controller (Mr Calthrop). The Knighthoods include a theatrical manager (Mr Alfred Butt), the editor of the "Daily Telegraph" (Mr Lesage), and the editor of the "Liverpool Post" (Mr Jeans).
There are hundreds of recipients of various classes of the Order of the Bath, St. Michael and St. George and the Indian Empire, and thousands receive the D.5.0., the Military Cross, and the Military Medal for services in France, Egypt, and Salonika.—A. and N.Z.
