Private Aubrey Vendt (L. Vendt, Kaeo), is officially given as missing since June 20.
Among the Whangarei passengers by the boat train to-day for Auckland was Mr H. D. Harrison, who is proceeding t3 camp.
Private Archibald W. Storey, son of Mrs A. F. Storey, Whangarei, is reported wounded on June 23; and Jack Lemon (Artillery), son of Mrs M. Lemon, Kawakawa, is reported wounded on July 5.
Messrs H, A. Morey and J. D. McKcnzie, chairman and member respectively of the Whangarei Harbour Board, have been appointed by that body as delegates to the Harbour Boards' Conference in Wellington. Senior-Sergeant Moore returned to Whangarei this mprning, looking very fit and well after a six-weeks' vacation. Sergeant Kowell, .who has been filling the temporary vacancy, returns to Auckland at the' beginning of next week. Dr. S. H. Ward, who took up army duty recently when relieved of the ileputy-s-uperintendency of the Whaugarei District Hospital, is in Whangarei on a brief vacation, and expects to leave for camp again next Thursday.
