\ v A SCANDALOUS DISTINCTION.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association,
(Press Assn.—Reed. 9.10 p.m.)
LONDON, Ju'lv 20,
The Federation of Trades Unions is inviting the members of both Houses of Parliament to confer with the Trades Unions at the House of Commons on August 1 to consider the soldiers anal sailors' pay.
'The Federation states: "The price of the men's needs is enormously ! n creasing, and where British battalions are brigaded alongside colonials the Britishers can only look at the com. modities and curse the parsimony which, gives him one-sixth the pay of an Australian or a New Zealander. Tt is not decent for stay-ait-homes to talk about patriotism while this scandal is continued."
