A considerable movement of Austrian troops in the rear of the Isonzo and Carso fronts is taken as an indication that the enemy has been mobilised to send reinforcements to the Russian front. The Italians have profited by the situation. They 'are Intensifying their artillerying, especially along the Carso front, thus engaging large Austrian contingents. Simultaneously the Italians have advanced their positions at some points for seven hundred yards.
