CHAMPIONSHIPS A.WARDED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association). DUXEDIX, November 29. The Otiago Summer Show was opened to-day, in showery weather. The entries of sheep, cattle, and horses compared favourably with those of recent years, and the quality was excellent. A feature of the show was the fat cattle. The following championships were awarded: —Clydesdiale mare: H. Watson, Taitapu; reserve, H. Watson. Shorthorn: Bull, John Nixon, 'Killinehy, reserve W. Wad dell, Waikaka Valley; cow, John Nixon, reserve Hon. Dr. McNab, Gore. Ayrshire: Bull, A. Gillies, Hampden, reserve Weir Bros., Pukehiki; cow, Cowan Bros., Enfield, reserve A. Gillies. Holstein-Friesian: Bull, A. Brock, Merino Downs; cow, A. Elworthy, Timaru. Channel Island: H. Watson, Taitapu; reserve F. E. Hellyer, North-east Harbour; cow, H. Watson, reserve H. Watson. D'liry cow: M. Pryre.St. Leonards. Fat bullock: James Boag, Ghristchurch; cow, Hon. Dr. McNab. Sheep. Border Leicester: Ram, T. S. Little, Windsor; ewe, D. M. Sutherland, Waiinate. Lincoln: Ewe. N.Z. and Australian Land Company, Hampden. Romney Marsh. Ram, Trustee late T. L. Barnhill, Lumsden; ewe, W. G. Ladbrook, Charlton. Shropshire Down: Ewe, Gardiner, Papakaio. Ram, J. Stringfcllow.
