FIGHTING IN EGYPT.
CONDITIONS AGAIN NORMAL,
The High Commissioner reports that messages from Cairo state that on the western desert, in the northern area the condition of affairs is rapidly returning to normal. Over a quarter-of-a-million rounds of hidden ammunition has beer, accounted for since the re-occupation of Solium. Two German sets of wireless were discovered South of Solium and brought in. The native markets have been opened at Dabaahamma and Ambiato and supplies are reaching the west. Aircrafts from Dakhla are inflicting considerable damage. Refugees from Baharia report the immediate prospects of famine. Typhus has broken out and no medicine exists and there are no arrangements to cope with the epidemic.
