A new sheep shearing record is reported. Mr C. Hanson, a Wolsley machine representative, informed an ' Eltham Arug-us" representative that the Australian record of 10 sheep in 2£ minutes has been beaten by C. G. Lewis, who shore at Messrs Chapman Bros. Waioru station 10 sheep ii 17 minutes, using one of the lacjsc pattern machines. The sheep were Romney-Merino ewes and were shorn to the satisfaction of the proprietors. The time was taken by Mr Hanson and Mr Chapman.
