IMPROPER ACTION ALLEGED.
APPEAL COURT CASE
WELLINGTON, April 11
The Appeal Court to-day heavc'i a motion for a rule absolute to stvi'..e John Francis Pullen, of Auckland, ofi the roll of solicitors, for alleged professional misconduct.
It was alleged that Pullen wrote a letter to another solicitor containing a threat that criminal proceeding. l , would be instituted by Pullen's client unless a certain sum of money (£704) was refunded.
The other solicitor, Mahoney, refused, and criminal proceedings were instituted, ending in Mahoney's complete vindication, without the defence being called on.
Mr Cotter is appearing for the Auckland Law Society, and Mr Eari for Pullen.
