AUSTRALIA'S NAVY.
NEW ADMIRAL TAKES CHARGE
(Received February 23, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 22. The new admiral took over the command to-day.
Admiral Poore, in farewelling the Powerful's crow, said it would be only two years perhaps before the White Ensign would disappear from Australian waters, and its place taken by the Commonwealth flag, which he hoped, would take care of the seas in this part of the world as the British flag had done.
