THE NEW BISHOP,
ARCHDEACON CROSSLEY MENTIONED.
AUCKLAND, Feb. 23
The Anglican Synod met yester•day to consider appointment of a successor to Bishop Neligan.
No official statement has been issued, but it is understood that Archdeacon Crossley, of Geelong, has been selected.
It is also understood that a cablegram has been sent to him, but that no reply has been received.
