SCHOOL PICNIC
Owing to the weather being unfavorable on the 10th inst. the annual school picnic was postponed to Monday, the 13th, when everything being favorable a most enjoyable day was spent. Visitors were present from ond were then drawn for. Toys were provided for each child attending the school. The toys were classified for the various standards and numbered, andwere then drawn for. Toys were also given to children under school age. A sports programme was arxanged, Mr F. Attwood being handicapper, W. King judge, and W. Kerr starter. The different events were well contested. Appended dre the results:— School Boys' Race, 12 to 15 years.— C. Allan 1, G. Kerr 2, W. Attwood 3. j Girls', over 8 years.—Maggie Allan 1, Maggie McXinnon 2. Boys over 8 years.—Walter Attwood 1, G. Xerr 2. Girls under 9.—Maggie McKinnon 1, Flora Kerr 2. Allcomers' Race, boys.—Henry Rusk 1, L. Wallace 2. Allcomers' Race, girls.—Myrtle Baker 1, D. Jackson 2. Three-Legged Race, boys and girls. —Elsie Thorburn and Maggie McKinnon 1, Myrtle Baker and D. Jackfon 2. Young Ladies' Race.—Miss Ivy Thornburn 1, Mrs F. Attwood 2. High Jump.—H. Attwood, T. Kerr, L.
