AN ENGINE CAPSIZED.
DRIVER AND STOKER INJURED.
DEATH MIRACULOUSLY MISSED,
AUCKLAND, Feb. 21
A locomotive drawing a Taupo-To-tara timber train from Putaruru tc Mokai on Saturday night, capsized at a place known as the "Corkscrew."
The engine turned three complete somersaults, with the driver and fire:i\an in the cab. The fireman sustained a fractured skull and the driver was severely scalded. It is a miracle that both were not killed outright.
