ACCOUNTANTS'EXAMINATIONS.
Since time and tide wait fcr no man (or woman either, for that matter), it is as well to take time by tlu forelock and to vet sail before the tide tbbs. This statement is intended "to pcint the moral and adorn the tale" relative to accountancy examinations. Messrs Hemingway and Robertson, of Auckland, who are well qualified by experience asd knowledge for the purpose, supply instruction and information on accountancy by correspondence; and they are doing excellent j ervice by an admonitory public notice to the effect that accountants' examinations will be much more difficult to pass in 1913 than they are at present. For one thing, matriculation will then be added to the conditions for obtaining diplomas, and this will mean much extra preparation and Many who were unaware of this and other rigid regulations being in prospect, will feel grateful for the warning, and will not jeopardise their cl ances by dalliance. The next examinations will be conducted in November by the University and good reliable coaching—such as Messrs Hemingway and Robertson are able to give— is absolutely essential to success. An explanatory booklet will be sent free t' anyone making annlication. It is of urime importance that no time should be lost in setting about the task of preparation.
