To-day's weather prognostication is not very reassuring. It says: "A storm area appears to be approaching from the westward, especially affecting the west coast south of Kawhia; winds freshening, probably strong to gale, veering; expect unsettled and cloudy weather; rain probable; glass fall; tides good; sea moderate.
