ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DROWNED IN FOUR FEET OF WATER.
GREYMOUTH, Dec. 19. Anderson, manager of the abattoirs, went for a bathe in the surf on Saturday with two companions. He was wading in about four feet of water, when he cried out to his companions, who were some distance away. He disappeared before they coulii reach him. He was quickly brought to the surface, but life was extinct. On a doctor's arrival it wss found that death was due to heart failure. Deceased leaves a widow and two children.
