DAYLIGHT SAVING.
Daylight saving is agitating Mr Hanan who is asking the Prim? Minister whether he will causa regulations to be framed whereby some of the Government Departments, particularly the clerical and administrative Departments, may be allowed, if the employees so desire, to work an hour earlier in summer, as is done in certain Government and other offices in i England. Mr-Hanan states that in England the day-light saving scheme is now in operation and generally appreciated in the Home Office, the G' j n- \ eral Post Office, and the Local Govern- j men! Board. In every instance the early attendance is optional, and the j daylight regulation hours are offered | to the clerical stafis at the beginning J of summer, and obtain for a period of { four months. \
