LONDON MARKETS
The Auckland Farmers' Uni.n through their agents Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following advices from London under date ITth inst:—
Butter. —Market steady at present prices. Imports into the United Kingdom for the week ending Saturday last: 75,000 cwts. as compared with 64,000 cwts. for the corresponding period of last year. The Copenhagen Official Quotation is unchanged. We quote: Danish butter at Ills cwt; finest Australian salted, 11 Ps cwt; finest Australian unsalted, 118s cwt.
Cheese. —Steady, prices unchanged. Sales have taken place at GOs 6d.
Frozen Meat. —Mutton and lamb holders are asking V 2 d per lb. more since our last Avire, but there is a limited demand. Beef. —Prices ,:?re unchanged, but there is nothing doing owing to heavy supplies of low priced chilled.
New Zealand pork has been sold at from 6d to 6%d per lb.
Tallow. —Prime mutton Is to Is 6d higher. Other descriptions 6d higher on the average.
