LONDON, Sept. 19

At the Cardiff conference of miners, the executive pointed out the enormous financial responsibility if the mast-rs sued twelve thousand for breach of contract for stopping without notice, wherein t-ie Cambrian colliers were without a defence.

Eleven hundred and seventy-one lodges supported the executive's proposal to levy Is. per member in support of the Cambrian men striking a month, hence, and fourteen hundred and* eighty-three lodges favored a ballot *or a general strike.

The masters, who have long feared that a strike was inevitable, are expected to reply to the Cambrian colliers by locking out two hundred tho jsand miners.
