SPREAD RAILS.
DISCOVERED IN TIME,
MELBOURNE, Sept. 19. (Received Sept. 20, 11.20 a.m.) Another case of spread rails was discovered near Ballarat. The train was delayed while repairs were effected. The opinion is expressed that t,:e double-headed trains used are straining and damaging the rolling stock and permanent way.
